Grapes for the Trizanne Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge Barbera 2022 were harvested in the first week of March, cooled overnight and destemmed the following day into an open top fermenter. Natural fermentation took place over the next 2 weeks with daily punch-downs. Wine was basket pressed into French oak, with malolactic fermentation in the barrel. Only 623 bottles were produced. Residual sugar: 2.1g/l. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Lovely big bold aromas of cherries and raspberries with a touch of sweet spice.

Palate: Fruit forward with lots of bright red fruit, cherries and raspberries.

Finish: Bright fresh acidity and robust grippy tannins, lingering notes of ripe plum. This wine will benefit from cellaring for at least 3-5years and can easily last 10-15 years.
